Default Nitro def. at 4 weeks into flowering
This is my first grow. I am 4 weeks into flowering and some of the upper older leaves are turning yellow. I have been using peters 10-30-20 for 3 weeks at half strength. Looks like nitro def. Its not burn. I am using soil. Its bagweed seeds but seems to be mostly indica.

My question is...... Is this common halfway through flowering and should I keep using the 10-30-20 or........ should I give it a shot of high nitro ferterlizer one time then switch back to 10-30-20. Or mabey even start using the 10-30-20 at full strength

basically should I leave it alone or try and fix it this late in flowering.

Also for shits and giggles, does anyone know what strain this looks like.

As far as the yellowing into leaves, they sometimes tend to start yellowing a bit while flowering, also what I do is around 2 weeks before I begin the harvest, quit using fertilizer altogether, I then switch to distilled water only, this will help flush the nutrients and fertilizer that is remaining in the plant/soil.

Do not cut the yellow leaves!!!! The yellowing is fine, they are suppose to do that. Stay with your current nutes, maybe increase them a little bit.

For your next grow: Most growers like to use there veg nutes, for the first week or two into flowering. You might want to try this next time, it gives the plants a bit more nitrogen so that the leaves dont turn yellow so fast. However your plants are fine

Next feed, give them a bit higher strength nutes, not much tho. Dont switch back to the other nutes, and dont worry about it. By the end of the flowering, most of the fan leaves should just fall off. But please dont not cut them off, they will do it naturally.

I Find often during the 3rd or 4th week of flowering they always get a slight Nitrogen defiency..I usually give them a feeding of a high nitrogen fert then..One time.

I am in the same situation but my whole plant is yellowing, giving it some high nitro fert tonight to see what it does. Dont get anywhere without experimenting.

No need to experiment bloatedcraig It's well known too much N in flower, will inhibit flowering Yellow leaves in flower is normal

Cheers buddy, so i heard, but the fact remains that the whole plant is yellow (+stem), this cant be good. So 1 good dose of nitro may save my plants life, even if i lose a bit of the good stuff.
