So my plants are starting to really stink up the joint. I was at my local hydro shop and they had a 4'x4' base and like 6-7' high. That particular model had a ton of openings for vents and the space in there was really fucking nice... I'd easily be able to get a 1000watt light and grow some monsters in there while keeping shit organized. My closet looks like a fucking alien spaceship landed in it...


So for all the tents I see on ebay and at HTG supply, does anyone know if they're the same manufacturer or if you've bought one, what do you think of it and what brand do you have.

dude, i've seen tents in my local hydro shop and online and the cheapest one is like 300.00. they seem to work really well but here's a better idea. Make one yourself for a hundred. Home depot. By Plumbers pvc pipe and all the elbows u need. its cheap as hell. you can use painters plastic for the outer coveringor a tarp or a tent from a military supply store. u can cut ur own holes and everything. this is my next project. i built a grow room inside my second bedroom out of wood and i'm thinking of the whole disassembling process is going to be a biatch. so i'm going to construct a new one out of pvc. watch for my posts in the diy section coming soon!!!

Dude, the way those things are made I could never recreate. They're typically ballistic nylon on the outer shell with white vinyl lining the entire inside... and they come with a square insert for the bottom to waterproof it.

I'd gladly spend $150 for a prefabricated tent. Thanks for the info though!

I have a hydrohut mini and it is working beautifully. If you want a weekend project, I am sure you could build one with HD parts. However, I'd rather spend my time on other things. Mine was less than $200 and I feel it was money well spent.
