So im thinking about upgrading to a 400 watt metal halide. On top of that i will have 4 T-12 eco lux flouros running along side it. Will this perk the people up at the electric company or is it all smooth sailing. I just got to have more light. I need results fast.

Depends on where you live. My bill would shift upwards of $50 a month pre growing anyways so who knows.

adding a 400w light is like adding a new PC to your home. Would you worry about being suspect or about getting busted for buying a new PC?

he's right.. and many newer power house PCs come with power supplies much larger, say, 600 to 1000w themselves... not that that wattage is used necessarily, as it only pulls as much as is necessary. but, he's right.
