the Soil i have my plants in seems like its real sandy/grainy like when i got the soil it was moist and had an even consistancy now its dry/clumped and when u put ur finger in it just seems like its a bunch of little dirt balls. ...i dont know if it was b/c of how close it is to the light? or mabe i dont watter it enough? or to much ? or b/c its just crap soil ? i really dont know how much to water my plants... right now there just in little red plastic cups.. and the sprouts are like 3'' with only the 2( fake leaves) and its first set of real ones (4 total) and it looks like it has a second set of real leaves starting but its just 2 pin sized things is this how soil is suposed to feel? or... ( ive never grown anything )

Not sure about the soil. What kind are you using? You should purchase a moisture tester if you are unsure how often to water (I bought mine for $10) or you could weigh your plants after watering and then base it off weight.

I would go with the tester though. Check out my journal, I am about where you are at in your grow.

thnx man.. im still getting shit together.. i havent done anything about veltalation or finished setup.. i just threw it together and started testing... unfortunatly i been alittle buisy wit school and im goin on vacation tommorow .... so i plan on just flooding them with water and hoping they survive a week and a half if there still alive when i get back i plan on picking up pots/mylar/digital thermomiter/moisture tester and set all that up between writing term papers. i just wanted to know if this happened alot with soil or something was wrong..

You need to answer the questions for people to help. You keep saying soil. Where did the soil come from? Did you buy it in a bag? Can you post pictures?

its regular potting soil... i picked it up localy its called gardenpro potting mix/soil i cant really post pics right now... and im leaving later tonight so.
