Ok so here it is. I asked if there was any interest in a Northeast thread and I got some interest so here we go.
I have not started any major threads thus far but I will be pushing this one to the max. I see so many parts of the country represented on here and I know as do all of you from New England that Maine is gowing hard. If you are from the northeast this is a place for you to show off your girls.
Help me get this off the ground people. I know we are doing it big out here so let em know.
Post pics, journals, advice and just represent the northeast and let em know we're here.

Ok so I posted a thread asking if anyone was interested in a Northeast thread. So I get home from work about 15 minutes ago, break up some nice bud and grab the bong and then RIU to find that the feeler thread has had 100+ views with some responses and this has thread has had like 40 views. I had quite a few people say the are down with a NE thread but nothing. So my lights will be on at 7:00 and I am going to post some pics of my current grow and tell you evrything I can remember to this point (4-5 weeks now), where I am planning to go with my future grows (I am still pretty much a well educated noob) and whatever other shit I feel like talking about because this is MY thread for now because all you other NE guys aren't chiming in at which point it will no longer be MY thread it will be OUR thread but if you dont chime in then I will type my shit every day and whoever wants to read about Big V's shit can and the rest can pass on it. MY POINT IS LET'S DO THIS MASS., NH, MAINE, CT OR WHOEVER ELSE WANTS TO TRADE WISDOM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE. LETS MAKE OUR THREAD INSTEAD OF MY THREAD. Watch out later cuz I am gonna show you MY SHIT. Whatcha got NE? Show me!!!!!

Sorry guys. Got fried and fell asleep. It is now 2:30 am and I woke up to water the girls and get some pics to accompany this post. Ok so here is the deal with my current status. All of the current "mature" plants are decent bag seed. The seedlings in the black pots are GHS Big Bang and all the rest of the seedlings are Skunkman Haze x Skunk1.
The oldest plants are 5 weeks and the seedlings are close to 1 week. This grow has been a hassle mostly because I was rushing the construction of my grow space and was more or less building as I grow. Then just when I thought I was all set in a little shed in an area undisclosed to all but rest assure it is 100% Northeast, paranoia set in and I moved the girls once again and now they are in their permanant home.
This is technically my first grow. I have grown before but with no success because I didnt have all the wisdom I have now. My current grow is going great as you can see. I have the girls basking under a 400 HPS from HTG Supply in Mass. (support local businesses folks) and has intake/exhaust for their 10 sf abode. I supply co2 via 2 1 gal. yeast bombs and the plants (all of them) are on a 12/12 schedule. I water every other day with nutes every other watering.
As far as my future grows I will be going 12/12 exclusively. I have 5 strains coming (White Widow, Trainwreck, White Rhino, AMS & Church all from GHS) and I will be order a Kush strain or2. After that I will be cloning in my DIY bubble cloner with an occasional pack of seeds here and there. I like the 12/12 plan due to the fact that my growing height is limited to about 30-36" before I am worried about too much heat from the light. Also as you see I am growing in stages so eventually I will be harvesting my plants every 2-3 weeks.

hey bigv, how long ago did your oldest girls show their sex? any guess to when they will be ready to harvest?

Awesome man, glad ya posted. Well this is my first real grow so dont have much to answer that question with. I originally vegged my plants and then I read about 12/12 from seed so I topped em and then went to 12/12 and that is where my timer will stay forever. They are not showing sex yet because they have only been 12/12 for 1 week.

gotcha, i am considering 12/12 from seed as well, due to height and time restrictions. the lack of buds got my attention, glad to hear they were vegged ha.

Ok quick update on my current grow setup. I was watering today and noticed I had a darker spot on the ends of my box ( 2x5x4 cab w/ 400w hps) so I added some cfl's. I added a total of 93 watts. A 68w cfl on 1 end (pictured) and a 25 on the other. FYI that 68 watt CFL is an awesome bulb and they sell at Home Depot for $15 and fit a standard light socket. The homemade reflector is a cardboard box and tin foil.
I also freshened up my CO2 bombs and added some tubing to direct the co2 closer to the plants. (also pictured). I started the first round of plants on bloom nutes today. I use Neptune's Harvst organics. These are sold at Agway and are low percentage ratio nutes that can be used for hydro applications as well and are completely organic and contain over 60 major and micro nutrients as well as esential amino acids. They are a bit pricey but it's worth every penny.
My second tier plants got full veg nutes today and my seedlings got 1/4 strength veg nutes. Keep in mind that this is 12/12 from seed. Couple pics for ya guys and Im out.
