alright. im in flowering. 4 weeks into it. ive heard that if u keep the temps down it will make the buds turn purple. i am growing grandaddy purple so it would only make sense for it to be purple. right now i c no signs of purple. i was wondering if i keep the temp down in the 60s will it make the buds turn purple and will it in any way afect my yields? anyone have any expierence in this? or does anyone else know of any ways to make it turn purple. ive heard putting ice around the pots 3 days before u pull the plants will also do i. thanks for the time. sorry if its a stupid question.

it should turn purple on its own without needing the temps to be low. i've never grown gpd before but i have seen purple strains turn purple in high temps.

if purp is in the genetics then it wil swell and turn colors on its own.

but to answer your question, yes temps will affect yeild.

im assuming it affects yield in a nehative way. that would only make sense. yeah my buddy just grew it and it really didnt turn out purple at all. kinda sucks having a purple strand with no purple on it. haha

Generally speaking the plants do their most photosynthesis around 75 F.

if it doesnt have purple,..its not purple strain my friend. where did you get the seeds? right now im growing 2 plants,..also in the 4th week of flower,.from a sack of purple kush. i have nice buds,..no purple. i assume it will show up with time. however,..my trying to force it to become what it is NATURALLY would be rediculous,..almost insulting to the plant. Since i "know" what the final result of this strain is, having seen and smoked the wonderful stuff,..i know that my generation of this strain may not be identical,..but close. now again, where did you get the seeds? was it a clone?

ive seen and smoked several purple weeds that were awful, harsh, and str8 nasty. I have learned over the years that purple usually means nothing, other that it was grown in cold temps,..which doesnt make more thc. what makes good grow temps is more tropical temps. somewhere in the 80's. kush comes from like afghanistan and pakistan and so on,..places where there is no freakin ice cubes next to your plant.
