Just wondering, with our hobbie been illegal in most places, has anyone ever been caught with plants?If so how many, where do you live and what was the penalty? Might be an interesting thread...so far i've been lucky however was caught holding once and ended up in court and got fined...

My friends got caught, because they were being stupid about it. They kicked in his door, took everything and arrested everyone. The next day they were out and living life normally. granted they have some hefty lawyers fees, and some community service, but my friend had the best lawyer around so he pretty much got off scot free. lucky sunsabitches.

a couple years back a buddy of mine got busted with three northern lights plants in his closet. he was an idiot and threw a mardi gras party in his apartment and had a bunch of underage kids drinking, needless to say he got screwed. no jail time though

i know one guy got busted but that was becuase he was a dumbass. just like gogrow said had a big party and bragged about his shit. later down the road police came and got his shit. other then paying big money and community serivce and maybe probabtion, hes back at growing buds again.

my x girlfriend went crazy one night after too much drinking. She was in the middle of town pretty much, screaming in the middle of the street. I tried to calm her down, no luck. I knew the cops were going to be coming so i took off (i was underage and drunk at the time). Well she let them in our house and someone they managed to search all the room in the basment and found 40 plants about 3 feet tall in veg. They took all my lights which sucked but all i got was a cultivation of marijuana charge which is a mm. Worst they could do to you was a fine like 250 bucks i think...

Don't let your g/f be stupid in public. Keep it to yourself!! You tell or show one good friend; they tell a good friend they think is very trustworthy and they tell someone that doesn't know you and they could care less if you get caught or who they tell. MYOB.

As stated, even your own wife/spouse will rat on you, i'm living proof of that.
I don't know about your guy's states but, cultivation isnt a misdemeanor. That's just funny to think about...

I have yet to go to trail, infact i was just indicted today. I spent 20 days in jail before being able to bail out... so i'm jelous of your friends that got out the next morning. My bail was set high, 100,000 to be precise, then changed to 50,000 but set at 100% cash bond, if you don't know what the means, it means 50,000 cash. no bondsman, no 10 or 20% and no properties, which made my bail about 5 times worse.

sorry to hear that man. my state cult. is a felony also and bonds about the same, just not cash only, thats why my friend did no jail time. he did get 5 years supervised probation though. yet again, sorry to hear bout your trouble, esp. the 20 days jail time, jail is no place for a simple stoner, been there myself.

Man that sucks so bad. There are so many really BAD, EVIL people out doing so many rotten things yet they want to use their resources to catch and jail potheads; that's just damn stupid. Just because something is against the law doesn't mean it's right and just because something is legal doesn't mean it's "ok". Just a little over a hundred years ago our Government was paying bounties to KILL Native Americans on sight!! That wasn't just "legal"; it was government funded murder. Was it right?
