It's personal preference dude.. your plant may be done before all the fan leaves are gone.. if your like me can just keep waiting till they are all gone and you get a lil extra yield and a wicked body high

Whenever you think its done.. wait a week, then harvest

yea i was planning on waiting until every pistil was red. no white pistils. is a lil more than an ounce a plant good indoor yield? is the yield for waiting more significant? srry for the newb ?s

What space did they have to grow and what lights were you using?

An ounce per plant (depending on pot size and a few other factors) is not bad. I know that some buddies and I used to pull about an ounce+ from 1 gallon pots indoors. Thats with from clone, and like a few days of veg.

Anyway, the best way to tell if your plant is ripe is by the Trichs (crystals)...not the pistils (hairs). You will need a magnification device of some sort obviously. When trichs are clear, you need to wait longer. When the majority are turning a milky/cloudy color, its time to chop (this will give you more of a heady high). When the trichs begin to turn amber..its time to chop...(this will give more of a heavy body stone).

If you wait much longer after the trichs have turned amber..you are losing THC content...it is degrading in the plant itself.

my girls had about a space of 6 feet high and four feet wide. i have a 400 hps bulb and 400 w ballast. sun systems. and thnx indyman ill def check it out. it looks like the purp will be the first to pull.

I am currently posting a kush grow and I just started week 8 and all the trichs are still clear so it seems like I got awhile left. I am not sure but I guess every strain is a little different. I think I may go another 2 -2 1/2 weeks. CHeck out my journals let me klnow what you think. Also let me know on the space you have and lighting system your using. It makes a huge difference on what you'll yield.

That does not seem like that much in relation to the size they had to grow. They have way more area than mine and it looks like I will get about 10-12 ounces out of my 5 plants. They only have 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 by 7 ft to grow. I also used a 400 mh/hps bulb. I guess every plant is different.
