I scored some g13/haze recently and to my delight, I found a seed. I'm a nerd, so anything I find I have to research. Now, apparently according to the story, g13 is some super government grown weed that can't exist outside it's original clipping stolen by some patriotic pot enthusiast, and can only be turned into a seed if mixed with some other strain.

Now, I'm just telling you what I read on the internet. Any of you old school folks have some insight on the legend of g13? And yes, that is the name of the pot the kid in American Beauty sold to Kaiser Spacey...if you were wondering.
I just wanna know if this pot is all that. I mean, I smoked it, and it really can't touch my home grown Sour Diesel in quality...but it is good stuff, but when you smoke several times a day, every day, your barometer of pot intensity tends to build a tolerance.

i always thought that g-13 was male plants...jus to pollenate other females..

if it just female couldn't one conceivably stress the plant into going hermie then having it impregnate it's self?

Yeah, I read that, but it didn't make much sense. How can that work? I mean, if a male plant, umm flowers(?) and grows it's little sacs and pollinates, doesn't it therefore live out it's life cycle and then die? According to the legend, there has to be clones passes down and kept vegetative, like some Da Vinci Code type stuff.
I only hope that the legend is true, and that a particular strain of weed has it's own acolytes.

WEll, I found one seed in a QoZ of it, so I'm guessing the only possibility is that it is a hermie seed. I get all my seeds out of mostly seed-free weed. To quantify, about every ounce I buy I'll pull a seed or two out of it, and I can only imagine that it's some Hermie phenom, finding seeds in Sensi.

I just wondered what the story of G13 really was and how it survives, if it is true.

g13 are them the seeds that are the most expencive seed to buy. i recon if they were a seed in some weed it was hermie, . mate dont waste your time trying to grow it.

Well i thought everyone was aware of G-13 strain.

Well this is what I heard.

It was grown by the government and it was grown in a room which was housed in Roswell New mexico (Yes the place where the aliens apparently got captured) and the room itself was called G-13 (Growroom-13) The weed that was being grown within in it was allegedly produced to reduce fear and anxiety, it was from this weed that these cuttings were taken.

But what were in the other at least 12 growrooms?

Whether the legend is true or not I don't much care.

I heard that someone stole a couple of clones from a govt lab but that in all reality the original g13 was probably crap in todays terms,all though it would have been much stronger than the street weed available at the time that it was stolen but nowhere near as strong as todays strains.

If you want your own powerful stuff start cross breeding the likes of white widow,p.p.p.,white russian,blueberry etc. and then you'll have the super powerful weed that you seek and i guarantee that it will be much stronger than g13
