Is it possible to take clippings from a mother plant and put them directly in soil? Or do i need cloning gel, rockwool cubes, hydrocorn and a hotbed? There has to be an easier way to get the offspring to grow.

you shouldn't need the hot bed... but a humidity dome would be good. Yes, you can just stick them straight into soil after making the slice. It's a little more difficult to tell when the plant has rooted... but it is perfectly possible, yes.
