do people think 20 inches is to close to the canopy for a 1000 hps,from all the books,it says 2 to 3 feet min,i dont see any burn happening,but maybe im stunting bud growth,what does every one think.and i have a fan sweeping across the top of buds.

yes 20inch is close. Leave it there a few days and see if your bud turns white.

well it was at 18 but i moved it to 20,last crop i had it at 14 the buds have nice white pistils,they dont show burn,but they may be burning internally,so you think i should raise the light,i am thinking more of going to two 600 they could be put closer to the canopy and more efficient since im flowering indacas at 12".and end of stretching they are about 22",what do you think waffle house,and thanks.

yea i've thought that 600watt would do better then 1k sometimes because you can almost litterally put it right on the plant, closer then 1k. But to test that you need something to test the lumens or light meter or something. But dude if your putting your 1k that close to the plant already and nothing is wrong then im sure the 1k is a better choice.

heck i just tried a 600,what a differance,the 1000 makes the leaves seem colorles it is so bright as the 600 you can see the true color of the leaf.
