Mother plant Jack herer

This is my second grow indoors. My first grow was a success. The second one is a week away from being done and looks great. What I added on was a mother plant closet with cloing station under a 400watt metal halide I loved the Jack herer so much last grow I just had to try and keep it coming as long as possible. So I picked up a clone of it and now have it on veg for three weeks now and already had to pinch off the top of the main branch due to how tall it was getting. How long till I can take clones off ? I 've heard that you should Waite atleast two months before taking cutings for cloning ? Any info on how to keep a mother plant alive would be awsome. Thank you

You can take cuttings from a mother as soon as there are branches long enough to make good clones. I keep my moms about less then 9 inches tall at all times because that's all my mother/clone chamber will allow. The only reason I know of to let your mothers get larger is so you can take larger cuttings more often.
