Took the day off from school today and noticed my lights off temps today are 73 degrees. I run an a\c unit in my room when the lights are on for the most part... I keep it around 79-82 lights on. Sometimes getting it even down to 75 in the canopy. I know it stimulates flowering if your lights off temps are 10-20 degrees cooler than your lights on... but is it worth running the a\c the lights off? That thing is damn expensive. My other option is I could stagger the d\h so the room cool down, and then the d\h comes back on...heats it up, takes out the water...etc.

But I am just curious if you guys see it as worth it? I've been told to be careful with mold with this strain and don't really want my d\h off for anytime unless it's needed.

No need to run AC when lights are off...

I read an article that said the lower the night time temps, the closer tigher nodes you get. Is this true? So I guess in that way it would be worth it for the first few weeks until they stop growing vertically and then it doesnt even matter? Also read a 10 degree difference will stimulate flowering by producing a certain hormone. Have you read this?

thats not what I know. the more light per square foot deterines your nodal spacing. at night your trees grow from photosynthesis during the day. it would be new news to me if the growth pettern is indicitive of the temps at night time.

Wouldnt say its the whole thing, but it's probably one of several determining factors. Though I have read its basicly watts per square feet too.

what are your temps with lights on? i know what stimulates flowering is 12/12! I have heard of a temp drop of 15 degrees is good to have but not necessarily mandatory. as long as your temp and hum is not too high or too low, you should be good

If you have your lights too high does thet cause nodes to spread apart farther than normal?
