    Default Why flat white paint?

i'm getting ready to paint the inside of my new grow cabinet and i was wondering, ive heard flat white is the best paint to use? But i have semi-gloss here and flat white primer... they gloss seems like it would reflect better? anyone know which is better, the flat or the semi-gloss, and why?

the flat.. it's because the gloss absorbs the light more than the flat, is that so hard to believe? think about it. you have a layer, with an invisilayer over you meant to be shiny, sure the surface is shiny, but it's clear, the light hits the backboard (the flat white) and goes right back to your plant.. otherwise, gloss, it's like hitting backboard and then rim.. so like em... i use mylar !

yeah that makes sense the way you explain it. the first coat of flat white is drying right now. i saw your set up i used to use mylar that way also but now that i have an enclosed cab the paint seems a lot easier. i have lights hanging from the top and ill have plants sitting on the bottom. i thought about getting double sided plastic but paint was free
