Tried to find some info but cant seem to find it, we all know that you need no more than 12 hours of light to start flowering so we all tend to use the max of 12 hours of light.

What would be the results of using less like only 10 hrs of light or lessand 14 hours or more of dark? Would it cause the plant to go into flowering faster and possibly produce THC levels quicker in the end speeding up the time to harvest by the plants thinking it is closer to winter because of the light cycle?

I know here in Texas right now we are only getting about 10 hrs of light a day. Obviously the yield amount would be lower but for somone trying to flower and harvest as fast as possible this would be great if it worked.

So has anyone tried this or know how this would turn out? I ask because I have some 10 day old seedlings in DWC under a 400w HPS in 12/12 right off the bat as I move Jan 20th pretty much impossible to be able to harvest that fast but if there is things I could do to at least get minimal amounts of something to get a little high from I would like to do such as Less hours in the light cycle and then naturally cure for 3-4 weeks.
