i was wondering if the ph down solution at the pool store is the same as i get from my indoor gardening store? The reason i am asking is because the garden store is about a 1 1/2 hour drive where the pool store is about 3 blocks just dont want to use this stuff if its not the same thanks.

what are the chemicals in it? compare them with general hydroponics ph down (phosphoric acid I think)

there maybe a difference in pool and food grade phosphoric acids.

that was my worry wether it was the same i could use the ingredient list to check never thought of that. thanks

I think you should be ok. I use the pH up and down made for fish tanks and have never had a problem.

aquarium supplies never thought of that NICE! There are plenty of pet stores around here.

I've used the aquarium stuff and I find it inconsistent and I won't rely on it. I once added a whole 4 oz bottle of aquarium pH down to a single gallon of water and it didn't lower it even .5. It's cheaper to pay freight than drive, order a quart of the good stuff.

yea i looked on ebay and i can get a whole gallon of the good stuff shipped here for about 30 bucks thats alot cheaper than $7 a quart and $10 in fuel .
