I live in Maryland, does anyone know a place to get dry ice from? Most places sell it only in large quantities to big companies. A friend of mine suggested a package-goods store might have packs. Anyone have any ideas or experience in buying dry ice?

I work at Fred Meyers and we just started carrying it. Any science store will prolly carry it.

Not sure what stores you have but Super wal mart sells it, sams club, costco, jewel, Miejers,most meat packaging places will sell it.Look in the phone book for dry ice or ice

grocery stores will often have dry ice....


... its not the best solution for co2


check out co2boost.com

that might do you a bit better and is fairly affordable...

I was looking at CO2Boost but I don't have ANY real floor space, I have enough space for a coffee can full of dry ice but not the CO2Boost bucket system... But thanks guys, I will check it out.

thats the cool thing about the co2 boost... it comes with the hose and whatnot so that you can run it to your plants from a remote location outside of the growspace.... you can hide it most anywhere, as long as you have the tube running into your grow (let it relase the co2 at the top of your space... co2 is heavier than normal air, and will fall... co2 like dryice sitting on the ground won't really cover your plants without lots of airmovement keeping it off the ground)

i did the dry ice thing... that's why i'm recommending this instead.... i'd buy 10 bucks worth of dry ice every week during flower (a couple of the small blocks... it always varried cuz the stuff is just constantly evaporating once its taken out of the freezer)

i just see the co2 boost as much less of a hassle, and probably much more efficient...

of course, make sure you close of ventilation and everything and seal the grow off while co2 is in use.... otherwise it'll float on out your exhaust...

if you do get it... remember... you can use the mush leftover (it becomes spent after so much time) as a really good compost material i think.... the website is full of good info about the product... check it out if you haven't already
