Thumbs up just a little FYI in hopes to answer some newbie questions

Hello everyone! Halfway through the week.. yep another one down. hehehe...

Well, I thought I should maybe go ahead
and make this post. This post applies to anyone who might be new to growing (noob)
or have questions as what kind of nutes to use.. and what kind of hormone I personally use for rooting my clones.

Here is the list as well as the names of the stores of which I acquired these.

    #1: Schultz 10-15-10 (Veg food)
(I use this for all my plants that are either going into veg mode.. or plants that I currently have in veg cycle.. this is what I use and I have never had problems with it. My only advice with this product.. if you decide to use it.. would be to tell you to be careful not to use too much as it can cause harm to your plants.)

#2: Green Light 'Super Bloom' 12-55-8 [Flowering food] - (I use this for all my plants that are flowering. And as with using any nutes no matter the brand name.. you should always start out with a 1/4 strength solution when first introducing it to your plant(S). Also, remember that before you add any kind of flowering nutes.. you should make sure that your plant has been in the flowering cycle for a good solid 2 weeks. That's what I always do.. and I have had great results following that regimine.

#3: 'RootOne' from "Garden Tech." Rooting Hormone with Fungicide for Faster healthier rooting for your cloning needs.
(I have only used this product twice.. but both of those times I had GREAT results. Both times.. both clones had rooted within 5-10 days. Excellent product in my opinion.)

Now of course, the above are the products that I personally decided to use for my growing needs. I'm sure that there are many people on this site that use different stuff than what I use.. and some of them probably get better results than I do.. and may even have better products than what I currently use that i listed above.

Just my opinion.. and I figured that if I were to post this.. that maybe it would help cut down on the noob questions.. but come to think about it.. most people don't even bother to do any kind of research on their own.. and instead just come here expecting to get an answer. Oh well, I guess it's still worth the effort.

Hope this helped at least one person around here...

Happy growing & Toking to all of ya`s!!.

    peace.

    Thanks for the info, dude!!!!
I may not use those specific brands, but that REALLY helps as far as giving me a good ballpark idea of what i need for the various phases. I'm 1 week into flowering on my first indoor grow (15 plants, 600 watt HPS, in soil, mylar-lined 2.5'x7'x10', 3.5 gal buckets, with bag seeds from some average mids), and I've been having a bitch of a time trying to find decent information about nute's.

Maybe the Mods should consider adding a seperate section for nutes and growing mediums, like they have for seeds and seedbanks. That would definitely make things easier for old farts like me who really don't know our way around webites/the 'net/ etc.

Thanks again for the info!! I'd give ya rep but I can't until 100 posts.

    My grow area stays at 75-80`F with lights on;

but see; i don't leave my plant in my grow box when its time to put them to bed. When lights off time comes, I personally will move my plant(s) into my entertainment center.. which has a bottom section that has two cabinet like doors on the front.. and inside I lined the floor on the inside with cloth towels as to keep the pot from touching the cold floor.

So, yeah once they go into my little sleep box (its what i named it).. I'm pretty sure that it stays within room tempature which right now I keep my house around 72-75`F.

Which works out pretty well for me.. as there are no drastic drops or increases in temps.

Sudden increases or decreases in temps.. inside your grow area.. can stun the plant.. and therefore slow growth down. I'm sure that there are instances where plant's have actually died do to major (+/-) in temps.. as the plant can go into shock.. and not come out of shock unless the grower takes action.

I think your temps are okay though.. your plant(s) should be fine.

However, If I were you? I would try and keep my lights ON/ lights OFF temps as close to each other as possible to limit any temp stress to the plant(s).

In other words... a good temp range is any where from 65`F - 85`F. Usually.. anything above 85`F can cause problems.. and the same applies to any temps that dip below the 65`F mark. Now, you also have to remember... your plant will react how it want's to react.. because of it's genes. Some strains of marijuana... come from cooler climates, therefore cooler grow room temps are okay for those strains.

Then you also have certain strains that are grown and breaded in warmer temp environments... so you have to almost take all of these variables into account.

Just remember this: try to keep your grow box temps above 65`F... but below the 85`F mark.

I hope this helped you out some.. if not just message me and I can give you a link with some good information that you can read.

Have a good Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!

    Peace.

    Default types of soil

Sorry guys. I hate to bump in on this thread, but iv'e been trying to find somewhere to insert this thought.... I read about all these different exotic formulas for soil mixtures, and just want to find out if anyone else is using what i am. For my first grow i tried useing some of the more common potting soils available, but had to many problems with nutes and bugs! So, i decided to try a semi- soilless mix of one third,(good) top soil, one third perlite, and a third vermiculite. Then i fertilize using mg nutes for vegging.(12-4- and Shultz (20-30-20)for flowering. Both are liquids. I've done this for the "less hassle" effect of controlling nutes,ph, and of course..bugs.Ive gotten ok results, see attachment)but would really appreciate any thoughts on this method of growing, and what other simple methods are out there to help me out and possibly others. Thankx in advance to everyone.
