Hi, I'm new to these forums and was wondering what the difference between satvia and indica strains is?

From what I (barely) know, is that Satvia gives a 'high' feeling, as opposed to indica, which gives a more 'stoned' feeling.

Is this true and if not, would somebody be able to identify the difference?

Also, how can you tell if you have satvia or indica bud? Is indica generally darker??
