hello riu.looking to start my 1st grow very soon, what is a good amount of strains to start with?

grow room 17ftx9ftx7ft if that helps have for flowering the other for veg

White Widow is an EXCELLENT strain but if ur just starting i'd use some bagseed and make sure u plant at least 10 seeds cause its hard to get a female out of bagseed sometimes

Amount of strains? As many as you want and can fit in your grow space. If you mean what type of strain, white widow is always a safe bet. Youl have to try hard to kill that plant. Lowryder is also a great choice. It grows small (for stealth or closet growers) i believe its also the fastest growing strain, and it automattically flowers so you dont have to worry about changing the light schedule.

Im currently on my 3rd grow. here is some stuff I would HIGHLY recommend for a 1st grow.

You want to get in.. And get out of your 1st grow fast. No matter how much you read, you will encounter slight problems.

So I say go with clones (appx 15 or so). that should be enough to fill up that nice grow space.

Choose a strain that has a fast flowering time, like a 7-8 week strain. Its harder to mess them up. Leave the 10 week strains for the 2nd grow.

Veg for no more than 3 weeks, that way they dont get too hard to manage. make your 1st grow fool proof.

My 1st grow was white widow (mistake #1).
And let them veg for 4 months (mistake #2).

post any more questions. And good places in the bay area to get strong clones are Harborside, and blue sky cafe. (12 bucks each).

I would also recommend splitting that room into 2 sections. 1 flowering & the other veg. That way you have bud every 8-10 weeks.

(Grand Daddy Purple is a good 8 week strain) Blue sky wont have GDP... But you have a 50-50 shot to get some at Harborside. They get new ones daily.
