i ws wordering how much the growth rate would be affected in the veg stage if i used 20/4 or even 24/0 compared to the traditional 18/6. I was hoping to get some answers from someone who has experimented with this , because i dont have enough space to test this. I ws trying to cut down on time it takes to grow my babies.

I do 100% of VEG with Lights on 24 hours a day, called 24/7.
I did ONE grow at 18/6 VEG and it grew slower, much slower.

Longer "on time" should mean faster growth. I have no idea how much though. In route to flipping to 12/12 you should be at 18/6 for a few days though. Then again I know like three guys that just go 24/0 for their desired veg time and then say fuck it and flip to 12/12...

a dark period was proven to grow better root growth but 24\0 will give you faster top growth... i normally will put a clone on 24\0 untill it starts to grow usually a week than i switch to 18\6 so it can establish a strong root system look up somthin like root growth in the advanced forum if i find it i will link it it was a few years ago so haer to remember what the thread was called

thanks for the advise. i dont want to compromise my root growth(thats half the plant). So i think ill compromise with 24/7 light till they get about 6 inches and then switch over to a 20on 4off cycle till the end of vegging. i dont want to stress the ladies.

i just dont no if the stress on my ladies is worth growin em faster. i like quanity buy not when it compromises the quality.
