Default Can i accidentally pollinate my plants by smoking swag?

so when i was puffing down on some mid grade b/s last night, i thought of a question i hadn't heard or seen.

can i accidentally pollinate my plants from the bananas in the shit i'm smoking now? the weed is dried, so the pollen should be inactive right? can i break up a joint with some bananas and carry the pollen to my grow room?

If you are smoking males....not even gonna go there...

Yes, if pollen was on your clothes, hands, etc it could be transferred to the pistils of a flowering female and be pollinated by it.

No, if you smoke the pollen it will not pollinate a female, nor will the smoke pollinate.

The only way is through direct contact to the pollen. The most possible way for this to happen is through you touching the pollen or allowing it to come into contact with your general area and then bringing it into your flowering room.

yea i'm assuming this swag is hermie bud from cross pollination right? minimal seeds but occasionally i stumble across a banana or two.

so even though these bananas have been allowed to dry for like half a year (probably more), they can still pollinate my female crop?

i always thought the pollen needed to be stored and kept fresh in order to stay active. am i wrong? can a two year old banana pollinate?

Highly unlikely. Pollen loses viability pretty quickly when exposed to moisture, light and or heat. Time also takes it's toll on pollen.

when you say that you run into a banana in your schwag.. are you reffering to seeds or actually pollen sacks? i have been smoking weed for a long time and i cant say that i have ever seen a pollen sac on one of my buds, but i have run across the ocassional seed in some lowgrade weed... lol...
i was just wondering if you were talking about pollen or seeds?

the "banana" he is talking about is a male flower that sticks out of a female bud... hermie.... and can produce pollen. it is called a banana because it can be lighter green or yellowish in color and has an appearance similar to a banana.
