we all have to admit that the search function on this site is the worst ever... idk how many times i have searched a term or a phrase to only have it come back and say that i have no matches, or if i do get a hit i have to search through endless posts to find that one sentence out of many that describes my problem..
now being a pretty newby myself and all.. i have been reading hightimes and other magazines and grow books for about the past twenty odd years or so, along with always having an outdoor vegetable garden before ever even attempting to germinate one seed... but reading about something and doing it are two very different things all together... go and read a book about performing brain surgery and then try to perform one.. i know that my example if a litle over the top, but it does prove my point... sometimes we need a little help along the way, and isn't that why sites like this one were started in the first place?
now i have recieved help from people like simpsonsampson, fdd2blk, and other veterans out there many times, and if it weren't for these people who have their own grows and lifes going on, but who are still willing to help out others, i dont know where i would be.. and i always try to be very grateful to others who share their wealth of knowledge with me..
saying thank you for your help goes along way in my book..
and besides, like many people who have pointed out, if you dont want to share the knowledge that others have freely given to you, than thats on you.. karmas a bitch though...

Anymore if the noob isn't putting any effort into it it I just go on to another thread.
Weed deserves respect, don't approach it with any and you won't get any help from me nor any results.
Or Ill just post links to stickies, it annoys them same as they do others, but usually it teachs em.

And hey it's like this I got tired of answering molasses, flushing, ect questions 25 times+ each a night when plp could just read a little.
So noobs should read before they post, hell it's a sticky.

Yeah I noticed! Its funny because none of them actually understood what I was trying to say with this thread. They just read the first line and started posting away there hatoraid. I dont care I got my point across and at least some of you understood.

Don't be dumb. If you don't want to help..then don't. If you don't want to read it other peoples plea for help. Then don't. But don't bitch about people asking for it on a growing forum.

People - like me - tend to want advice from several venues before making an informed decision. One of those venues, just happens to be this forum. It makes sense.

We all start somewhere. We all start off as morons.

Try to have more patience. I am a mother to 2 boys and feel as if I developed quite a lot over time.

I agree the search on this site is less than good.
What I do is I use GOOGLE I type say "how to harvest weed" then i type "rollitup" next to it so it is like this
"how to harvest weed rollitup" and all the top results are RIU results. Best way to search the site.

i think the guys that didnt agree with you 100% do understand and im sure they read ur whole post . U made a few good points but some people here dont mind answering questions, yes alot of the "newbies" do ask the same questions over and over or their questions could easily be answered if they chose to do a little research but its really nobodies business to tell other people what they should or shouldnt do, if someone ask a "stupid" question and if someone here on RIU chooses to answer it thats their choice. Some of the guys on RIU honestly enjoy helping out new growers and others dont ,so like its been said before if u dont like a question because u think its stupid then just dont respond or give it a second thought . People here especially all of us newer guys need to stop tryin to police the forums or tell other people what they should or shouldnt do, its not our job. were here to learn or help each other out if we choose to and thats it.
