ohh... no way... it came fast too. I orderd it monday.. and it came yesterday! so. 4 days
pretty kick ass... its hotter than I expected... it can be used as a heater. both the balast and bulb are super hot. I knew they were going to be hot. but not that hot.

yea definetly the cheepest light on the net... with prices like that you cant afford not to buy one right???

i got the same light. its wonderful and cheap! My ballast gets pretty damn hot too, i keep that out of the room. all i can say is i love this! its cheap but not cheap

Can you use this same light for vegging and flowering?

Would it be ideal to use this for a closet grow??

it depends on how big the closet is but yea its the perfect light for flowering... not perfect for veging but it will get the job done... you can buy a MH conversion bulb for an extra 40 of 50 bucks... but people say the conversion bulbs are inaficient...

Yep. So it would probably be a good investment if you're going to pay that money anyway, to buy a switchable ballast? And why is MH better for veg?

yea I think HTG had a digital 400W ballast that would switch on its own... but it was like an extra 100... so you could buy a MH light from them for about 120... so I think that would be better. because eventualy you can use them both at the same time.
MH are supost to be better for vegging because they have a diferent light spectrem. they emit more blue light than HPS. and plants like blue when their vegging. and HPS has more red. and flowering plants like red... I would think by puting a slitly colored piece of plastic infront of it... things might work out o.k.... or teribly !!!!!!! I have no idea...
I just bought the HPS because I'm vegging in another area with CFL's... I know they suck but their small cheap and they get the job done pretty well for vegging.
