I don't do it but instead of turning lights on first thing the day I plan to harvest, I wait until I'm ready to chop so it might go 16 or 20.

Completely unnecessary. It's supposed to boost potency but I've never been able to tell a difference. I usually chop as soon as the lights come on (the day I decide to harvest).

high times had an article where this old timer swore by it. Said it made them taste better and helped keep a light green color.
