yo can any one help;

can i just dig up some soil from outside and transplant straight in to that?

Well, you could do that but I wouldn't recommend it. You never know what kind of contaminants, bugs, etc. might be in the soil. Better off purchasing some quality soil so you know exactly what you're getting.

I tried it with my first grow - didn't work out so well, I wouldn't recommend it. Better off buying some soil - even cheap potting soil would be better than yard dirt.

It is! I sterilized some cheap potting soil last night at 180° for 30 minutes...two batches...and it stunk up the whole house. Pretty nasty
