I have a few questions around cloning.

First, if you cut clones from a plant in veg state do they still then adhere to the 50/50 chance of being male or female? Or, if say the mother turns either will those cuttings follow suit 100 percent of the time?

Also, what is the best way to convert into a mother? I assume it would it be after the plant sexes themself?

Take the cuttings and put them on 12/12 but then again you did say you had A PLANT so you will have a 50/50 chance good luck peace.......

A clone is an identical copy of something.
If you take a cutting from a female then the cutting is female.
The rest of the question I don't understand......maybe cause I'm stoned.....maybe not..

I'm with you on the last part wtf? A mother is a larger female plant left in veg to take clones from.

Whatever sex your mother plant is, that will be the sex of the clones. If your mother is a hermie, your clones will be hermie. There's nothing about "converting" a plant into a mother. You simply need to have its own space for it, with its own light/fan/exhaust/etc seperate from your flowering area.

I am guessing that you have a plant or two and want to determine their sex? I would take a good cutting or two from each questionable parent, let it root, and then put it in your flowering area. After those 10-14 days, you will have your answer as far as the gender of your parent plants. Just make sure that if you are doing multiple plants, that you keep them labeled so you don't confuse yourself. Last thing you want to do is throw out a good female cause you thought it was a male.

Ok my mother question is this, if you pop a seed and it is vegging and then you were to take lets say two clones, could one turn male and the other turn female if you havent sexed the mother yet or will they both turn the same?

I ask because I have some that I am popping from seeds and some I have that are clones. I just want to start cloning early rather than later.

First- No ... it is(a clone) a genetic duplicate of the original host(parent)... meaning .. if the host was female .. it will be female .. if host was male .. it will be male.

2nd. convert w/e plant u want .. obv this older it will be the bigger it will be yadi yadi ... thus y ppl genreally gravitate twords teh biggret helthier plants ot their mothers... but u can use the runt if u wanted to .. with enough TLC the plant will beomce nice and productive for ur needs

Gotcha, thanks. Appreciate everyone's input. I ask because I have a Durga Mata that isn't sexed yet. I am going to clone it and sex the clones and see...It's beautiful and I dont want to stress it by flowering it and then possibly vegging it again....just a weirdo personal preference.

I have a blue cheese clone that was cloned properly and as it is doing good...i noticed during the veg conversion back that the actual buds transform back into leaves...its kinda fuckin cool! But it has been taking me some time to get it back into full veg mode.
