Default 3" clay pot question
I just picked up 20 3 inch clay pots for a quater a peice.. Thought it was a good deal.. Can i start my seeds out in these? How far can I let them grow.. I'd like to go directly in to 3 gallon pots from here and into flowering.. Since I have a very small veg space and a much larger flowering space.. will this work if i were to veg em for say 3.5 - 4 weeks? Heres a pic of the pots.. I am mainly concerned about drainage.. there is only one hole in the middle of the bottom of the pot, instead of all around.. would this be an issue?

your issue will that these are small pots and can be filled with roots in a week. They are also clay so the roots will stick to the clay making removal very difficult.Plastic is btter and easier to transplant.

i agree with gb1, start and finish with plastic if you are planting indoors, and you really should start out with a 9".

20 oz plastic cups arent good either they are way to small and will rootbound the planst ins the matter of a few days then you have to transplant and the more transplants the more stress the more stress the more males or hermies and less bud.The gallon jugs arent good as they are clear and you dont want any light to get to the roots as itwill kill them. Roots need darkness to stay alive

Also, your plants won't grow as big with a 3" pot as they would with a gallon or more pot...
