Default Bucket vs. ground

Hey all,

I am desperately trying to come to a decision about something; If you live in the country with a fair amount of woods all around, is it better to grow in ground, or use a five or bigger gallon bucket? Plants in the woods I've done usually seem to have much more troubles with bugs, and also strangely they don't seem to grow as fast or as well as in a bucket. This in ground though is digging a hole and filling it with organic soil and stone for drainage. I can't decide whether I sould go in a bucket outdoors, or in the ground. In the ground in the woods does seem to pose a less likely chance of being spotted were anyone out there walking, but in a pot seems like you can control the growing medium better. AWWW. I can't make up my mind. What do you all think?

grow in buckets... it will let you have more control over the medium, pH, etc... and you can have something tangible to get out of your way when you need to leach the soil if you overfertilize... (you can't leach the earth)... also... if you're having a problem with bugs... natural incesticides are shit like garlic.... and i heard neem oil works badass.. but one of the biggest things u need 2 fear is wood creatures who wanna eat yo shit! bunnies, deer, etc... build a wire fence around yo shit. k? k. and if you are having issues wondering if someone is going to notice your plants... you probably shouldn't be growing in an area where someone might walk by and go "OH WOW LOOK THAT LOOKS LIKE SOME REEFAR... but they could very well detect the scent... i know i can always smell outdoors.. make sure it's a clear area but not too clear (overhead) so that choppers dont spot the greenage... they do that.. it's weak.

Ground is generally better. But I would use a pot just in case I have to move it elsewhere. And you could always just put your pots under the ground, but dont cover it with dirt.

Default Ok thanks

Well, I scouted out an area today that is looking very good; lots of briars and pines and a two or three nice open spots. I think I'll go with buckets. As for someone walking by, I'm being way too paranoid I know, becasue if you guys saw where I lived you would be like, man, aint no one ever going to see that. I live in the country, with one neighbor through the woods that I can't see, and only one across the dirt road by a field. It's just that I have kids and want to be extra safe. However, I believe so strongly in cannabis and that it should be legal, that I would give any organization the fight of their life if they tried to bow up. You see, I am a writer, and have finished my first novel and will be seeking an agent soon. I feel it is a powerful novel that I will sell, and as my books keep coming, cannabis will alwys be presented in thme by some character of the utmost responsibilty and compassion. Cannabis and the people who enjoy it should be portrayed in the arts in a positive way since in reality we are all usually very positive and good people. That's my two cents. It's a great site!

buckets concentrate your roots and they are right there to receive all the nutes. in the ground its much harder to dose your plants equally cuz the roots reach out for nutes in the ground which makes them longer. good choice my friend!
