Welcome ALL. We need a sub forum for this, and as i understand it's already being worked on, so for the time being we can start here.

Who's Got micro grows going? Lets see your pics, progress, and preferences!!!

I have converted this old night stand into a micro grow. It works awesome. Temps are perfect all the time.

Im growing in a rubbermaid atm but i dont really consider that "micro"
what do you do just cut off ALL lower growth and harvest the top? how old is that? (clone?)

Great idea to consolidate into a thread while RIU gets around to creating a sub-forum. I am currently growing a single plant from bagseed to get my feet wet with marijuana growing.

My second grow will be two or three plants from whatever strain I decide to order later in the month in a stealth PC grow. Finding a case suitable to my (overly) exacting standards is rough atm.

Edit: I am rather jealous of your ability to have such a large grow Sgt. I would advice you to use mylar (or a suitable substitute) on your entire internal workings. All of it. Otherwise nicely done. Could of course always be improved upon, but nicely done otherwise! Hopefully I will be able to run a grow at the size I desire within the next couple years (aiming for 10x10xroom height).

Oh an shameless bump. Please vote and reply to endorse the subforum! The more input the more likely RIU will be to accomidate us smaller growers with a sub-forum.

sly i think you could do better with the space you have in there i had a pc grow and it slayed

Clearly any system can always be improved upon. Perhaps you should offer some more insight as I am much too tired to do so myself (aside from the mylar. That's a pet peeve of mine ).

a wise man once said "i dont use mylar because im not building a spaceship." so dont worry about the mylar even flat white paint would do the trick if your up to it. i dont know how much insight i can give you but what if you were to do one plant in one little planter pot and and LST it? more space to grow a bigger plant and with LST you can make full use of your space and for sure easily yeild more then what your putting out now. just a thought

There's a long story to go along with those little nugs. I lost 250 plants to a COP sweep this year.. ALL that was left were these two. I rescued them and have them growing in my Micro Grow at home.

I will let them bud out till they die, or they Hermi. At which time i will dry them. I wanna see how big they will go. Those were left out all summer. Went into ground july1st. Basically did nothing because they were planted too close to pine trees. Soil was way too acidic.

Otherwise I'm growing lemon skunk in there, from my own feminized seeds. Will use topping and LST to accomidate size.

I appreciate your words of encouragement. HOWEVER, your not a grower, your just starting, so advising on things you don't know shouldn't be done.

If you looked at the pictures my "suitable substitute to Mylar" is flat white vinyl tape.
Mylar97%reflective flat white 95% Which is cheaper. FLAT WHITE! How much of a difference does it make from mylar? NO MESURABLE difference in my experience. My reflector up top was done with Aluminum tape. NO IT WILL NOT CAUSE HOT SPOTS WITH CFL LIGHTS!

Yea I suppose, but i just started this box, can't even tie any of my plants down yet.

This is my plan, sorry all for not explaining! But yes i plan to LST 2 plants in here.

AS FOR USING MYLAR!!!! it drives me nutz that people are like mylar this and mylar that. MYLAR is not economical concidering it's cost to flat white paint.

There's a mere 2% reflective difference.

well sounds like you got everything planned planned out for your next grow which sounds great. sorry to hear about that sweep of all your plants aswell. anyways keep me posted for when your new grow starts i will be starting my new cab grow this weekend feel free to check it out
