Hi all, i'm new to this forum and growing in general.

the plant is pretty young (only been planted for 2.5 weeks now). i know that it is most likely not the best setup ever, but let's get to the point. i have a few questions/concerns/whatevers and any help would be appreciated. hopefully you can see what i'm talking about in the pictures.

1.) the second set of serrated leaves look like lillipads. this is the only way i can really put it, they are almost perfectly round and about the size of a nickel with a little folding going on. (my main concern)

2.) the first set of serrated leaves curl up a little bit around some of the edges (is this canoeing?)

3.) gnats...are they a problem? and how do i get rid of them?

4.) where the first branches meet the main stem, there appear to be about 4-6 leaves growing. (not much of a concern at all. just a little bit confused, because i thought that this is where buds or pollen sacks are supposed to form later on)


i tried to look this up before posting anything, however i had no luck what-so-ever. i'm not sure what strain it is, but it is some kind of pretty good bud. i also have two shwag plants growing in the same area, but they have no problems at all (at least that i can tell).

they are under 3 24" flourescent lights. the lights are about 3-4 inches above the shwag plants and 5-6 inches above the troubled one.

haha wow that is really messed up dude I don't know what would cause that!!

edit: oh and where the new leaves are coming out will become more branches, you want these to grow out so they can become more top buds.

ya i have no idea what it could be. at first i thought maybe over watering, but the leaves aren't droopy...their just retarded.

but i just realized that i should probably put this in the plant problems section instead of general growing.

Well it seems like the soil you are using is a Miracle grow mix for vegetables. Am I correct, only because it looks similar to what I used for a first grow. I also had the same problems. I think maybe it could be something in that type of soil dude. I am sort-of new to this myself, so I can only say what I experianced.

Well what planet did u buy your seed. And if it was earth are you sure it is marijuana . Ive never seen anything like it. Looks like its got 2 sets of baby leaves. Maybe its a super strong alien skunk !!!
