I'll be changing to something a little different. I hope I can rattle some cages and get some input. I'll be posting some chicken scratch drawings, and making alot of reference links to information and products.

Please, keep in mind, this is still in the thinking stage. And, quite dependant on technology and prices, which is dropping fast, im happy to say. We want more power, less space, less price.
I'll be prototyping only one of three different sized compartments first. The 96 cubic foot Pod should provide room for four and possibly 6 plants. Maylar lined with spray adhesive, if possible. (any thoughts) Storage and Organization
Plants will be grown Rockwool and 4" net pots, in three, to possibly four, liter open air root chambers. Which will be secured to 2.5 gallon reservoir. Nutrients will be sprayed into the chamber with mister nozzles mounted to each side using a submersible mini pump (See: chicken scratch #1). I know that ultrasonic foggers will be used in the smaller plant and clone chambers, but still debating use for large scale plants. An air pump, placed outside the building, and stones will provide fresh air for the roots. Left long enough, the air tube can be coiled over a heater and provide some warmth to the reservoir. very interesting, i'd love to see some pics and progress reports once you are up and going. I know there is a great deal of controversy about usign LED lighting, so I'd love to see some first hand evidence!
Luxeon is breaking the rules on LED and power output. But, still a little costly. Leaning towards mass flood and prox. to the plant. Instead of costly output. In fact, considering stringing LED's through the plants after 3 week flowering stretch. And have ideas for a cola booster of sorts.

Cut the bottom of a 2 & 3 liter bottle off. Line the inside of the 3 liter with aluminum foil and add about 4 of these in blue and red. Place the 2 liter inside the 3 liter, and hang it on your colas. White and colored LED strip lights

While intriguing, it sounds like you have to know how to wire together circuit boards and such to achieve this...would be great if one could buy a "plug & play" solution
Although, maybe not as bright, these seem to be fairly plug and play. Considering they are 100% blue or red, they don't have to be as bright anyway. And using a non solder breadboard for the bulb array, only leaves for adding a wall wart transformer. But, yes, it can get difficult. There are plenty of simple solutions. SINGLE COLOR L.E.D. Or, how about a screw in solution. Now these are kinda nice, but not too easy on the wallet LED Grow Lights.com Home Page

For timers, I'd like to introduce you to X10. I already use it to monitor several aspects of my home including video security. Now, im going to probably be installing one to two X10 controled outlets in each compartment. This will allow for most control of cycles via my PC. Learn all about X10 home automation here. As for CO2, I'm considering going the cheap route, using sugar water and yeast. Tubbed over the compartment with four to six feeder air tubes strung down the center of each plant. (any thoughts)
The low heat output of LED's instead of HID's should nearly negate the need for serious air flow. (any thoughts)
