Default Does vegging longer increase potency?

For instance, if one vegged a plant for 2 months and then switched to a 12/12 light cycle to flower, one would certainly get more bud than someone who used 12/12 from seed. But would the bud be any better? Besides quantity, are there advantages to vegging for a while?

I don't believe it will increase the potency - just the yield.
