Man dont listen to the led bullshit, get sum cheap 4ft light fixtures at walmart for 15 bucks and 2 6500k bulbs for 10 bucks and it will grow like the jolly green giant. But if the 4ft to much yes go with cfls, trust me dont learn an expensive lesson.

cheaper is best , the work lights r amazingly bright n cheap.

why cant you use a HPS? besides that you live in an apartment. if you use 10 65 watt cfls then your using 650 watts. 250 more than a 400 watt HPS. So your electric costs would be more with the CFL's than the HPS. Any reason why you don't want to use one in the apartment?

Definitely get the HPS dude. They are an incredibly efficient form of lighting and 400w is perfect for two plants. I would go with Bricktop's suggestion. Be wary of a man who keeps a pig farm.
