All your buds need is air. This is what I do to dry them after harvest. Trim off any large easy to get to leaves and stems then hang them in dark closet for two weeks, then put inside a paper bag and let them sit for two or three days. Make sure you open the bag a few times a day to let out the moisture the close it back up. After you take them out of the bag finish trimming them and put them into a glass bottle to cure until you smoke. If storing for a long time keep bottle inside your fridge.

the cold will not really matter.. as long as the air is circulated well..... I cured a load in winter and if any thing the process is slowed a bit and that's ok....the slower the dry the better...only my opinion :^)

i didnt get curing 100% right last time but it seems like 2 weeks hanged is too long. they would be very dry by then. id say 3 days or so then in the jar but really dont keep it closed too long for a few weeks or youll get powdered mildew. use the jar to evenly dry when the outside is crispy but it is still too wet at that point even though you could smoke it

Im in the same situation as you GumbyHaze. If you can put a fan on them it would be good. It won't hurt the good stuff in that chilly attic. I know fellas that bury their stuff in the ground (under the frost layer) during winter. Come spring it's just as good as they day it was buried.
