Default Growing Clone.......No roots?

Hi everyone,
I know that this might sound dumb but this is my first successful clone.

I took a cutting from my plant outside roughly 2 weeks ago which you can see in my first 2 pics, when i changed the water (3 days after taking the clone from the plant) I made a few slits in the bottom of the clones stem which you can see in my 3rd and 4th pics.

Anyway my question is my clone doesn't seem to be growing any roots (after 2 weeks), yet it's still growing new foliage? how long should i expect to see roots forming?

Its got me baffled so if anyone can help that would be great.

i think the last pix has those root things you should be able to see roots coming out. Ussually when you can see a huge growth in the cutting that means that it has establish a root system.

YEah those bumps are forming roots. Maybe thats enough for it to sustain growth. are you using that gel thing?

Mine took 4 weeks to fully root.

Be patient.

Plus, you could even try mixing a mild nutrient solution if you leaves start to turn a bit yellow.

Check Ph of your water and you should be using a rooting gel

Distilled water is the problem (Duh I missed that) Did you know that rain water, distilled water does not conduct electricity (ec)? electricity is conducted between dissolved solids. These dissolved solids are what plants eat. Right now you are giving your plants 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen (water). Your plants need several (13) nutrients to survive. Several of these nutrients are already in your tap water. But distilled is different..

There is no roots to take up any nutrients, so why would it matter if there wasn't any nutrients in the distilled water. Assuming it shows roots then I would assume you would have to change to an EC'ed solution, but until then what is the purpose?

I do have a rooting gel i'll put a pic up, just whenever I tried it hasn't been successful and I read Mogies water cloing guide and thought i'd give it a go.

It's mostly air bubbles on the stem but i had a closer look with my magnifying glass and I think it may only just be starting to show roots, not 100% yet but I'll have to see what happens.

If it does start to show roots do you think i should forget about the Gel and plant straight to soil or dip in the gel to maybe boost root growth then plant then plant it?
