how do ppl grow buds that are like hard.. not fluffy and leafy?
is that what curing is for.. like when i by kind bud its all packed 2gether. and mids are usually hard..

I remember my father saying "shade = fluff
and sun equals rocks", but i'm sure someone has a better explanation.

i was sort of wondering that too,im pretty stoned right now but let me try and talk some sense..when i buy mid grade.it usually doesnt have that cone nugget look,as opposed to kindbud.kindbud is more dense smells more skunky,mid grade has that sorta darker greenish brown color and looks more flattend out,obviously seeds too.our kind bud up in mass doesnt have seeds therefore its hard to grow good bagseed here...any input?

has to do with the strain, how close the bud is to the light, bud that is far or shaded from the light will be airy and stretched, just like in veg where if your plants arnt close eneough to the light they will be long and skiny, same goes with the bud, yo want them as close as u can with out burning them, use the back of your hand to feel if there to close, and last the fertilizer,if your plant is not eating eneough it wont get fat and healthy, as soon as a plant goes to 12/12 they need to start there flowering ferts, the sooner your start the longer they get to eat,

For indoor hps will give you those tight dense buds, but there are many more variables. Strain also plays a factor in it. Your kind buds are all packed together? Sounds like some compressed brick weed. The dense buds i get are not packed together, they are just tight.

It's all about the strain, HPS, good nutes and curing correctly. I have only had the fluffy buds once and it was the strain, Super Sour Diesel, super good buds but even the huge colas were light as hell and "fluffy".

It's all technique. People have been growing beautiful creatures on here for months and months. I don't see how they do it.
