Default trimming inner leaves

is it a good idea to trim the inner leaves that are blocking some of the light to the buds. i can visibly see that the buds that are blocked are not as big as the ones that aren't blocked on the opposite side of the plant.

i was told it's better to try and move leaves around or tie off a stem here and there rather than cut em off
