I just noticed there is no Security/Legal Advice section to this site, mods maybe something that can be added?

Anyhow, I have been paranoid the past few days because I had satellite, phone service and DSL installed in my new house where I have just started 3 plants. Of course for precaution I took the plants to the garage under some shop lights and took my indoor lights to a safe place in the attic. Well, Saturday I let my plant relax in the sun while I hung out on my hammock… next thing you know the satellite installer comes walking around the corner. Needless to say he was an hour early and didn’t even call like they usually do if that is the case. My plants were in a semi hidden spot, but he may have caught a glimpse of some plants in milk jug containers. Then yesterday the DSL guy comes over to troubleshoot our line and my wife lets him login to my computer and install programs and snoop at who knows what (I had grow pictures and bookmarked marijuana sites etc on here). I specifically told her to NOT LET HIM TOUCH THE COMPUTER because I could have set my own account up as soon as the physical line was fixed. All he had to do is make sure the modem lights were on and maybe call the office to see if the modem was responding. And to top it all off, I get off work and was visiting my plants in the garage, cleaning up while smoking and what not… my neighbor decides she can just duck under the not even half open garage door and tell me how good she thought the garage looked since I started cleaning it out.

Now in all instances I could be over reacting because I was on my toes and did everything possible to prevent detection, except for the tech that had access to my computer. I guess I just wanted to vent and see what others think I should do. Ditch the grow now or keep on growing. I obviously want to do the latter, but the whole thing shook me up and has me wanting some others opinions.

dude i had the cable company guy literally find my grow op. 19 plants and everything. chances are you won't get caught. but, if you feel if at all you might get caught, it's totally not worth it. growing weed is dangerous legally. if u think it'll get u prison time, kill it, flush it, toss it...w/e. i had a police follow up call but never any warrant or visit. consequently i had one shitty plant to harvest. just expect the unexpected, to be totally useless and uninformative.

LAstoner... yeah defiantly paranoid, I'll be the first to admit. I'm in a whole new state 18 hours away from where I lived basically my whole life. I don't know the locals that well or the police and I would like to keep it that way. Too much going for me a few plants.

lynch... seems like someone was on your side, good for you. Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'll ride it out for a few days and see how things are going and like you said be prepared for anything.

sometimes i get that way, i live in la...always alot of cops roaming around my street. i have my plant on the side of my house all they have to do is look over the wall LOL, i only have one plant. but i know what your talking about lol......the dsl guy seen my plant and told me be carefull and complemented me on it.....just hope no nosey nieghbors come around and peak over the wall. then

sometimes i get that way, i live in la...always alot of cops roaming around my street. i have my plant on the side of my house all they have to do is look over the wall LOL, i only have one plant. but i know what your talking about lol......the dsl guy seen my plant and told me be carefull and complemented me on it.....just hope no nosey nieghbors come around and peak over the wall. then my parents would be mad at me for getting caught up lol.

you are probably ok but you definitely aren't paranoid. Stop moving your plants around. If plants are in the garage dont open it (cracked 2 inches for fresh air is different). You made a bad move in every instance. I don't want to carry on about it but just think could this get me caught. Plants are sitting in the back yard could they be seen, yeah if someone turns this corner. Plants are in the garage could this get me caught, yeah if someone walks into my garage since its half open. Don't worry about the computer because you can look at all the weed plants on the internet you want without getting in trouble, its not illegal.
