HI guys, gals

Thankyou to Widow Maker and Potroast for replies, though im a little confused now . Ive used Canna vega and Canna flores, my plants look beautiful. So im halfway through week 3 of flower( 4th week in total under the hps, 1 week veggin, 3rd week flower) On the canna pk13/14 bottle it says " add pk 13/14 once; 3 weeks before harvesting blah blah... Add this mixture for 3-6 days.mmmm. So then does that mean that i need to add the pk every day for 3-6 days or just 1 time at the water change at the begining of the week and then no more? God knows! but then i reckon someone else might know as well. so please help me out.. cheers alot.

i think it is add once to your res,for one week only three weeks before you rip them?,but someone said on a post ,that the directions have changed and it no longer mentions the three week bit?,but my bottle does so i added some today,but lower than the amounts canna say to use,in fact i find i use most nutes and additives lower,than what canna say,but i use d,w,c so it may be different for other folk.,i change nutes during the grow,as it gives them a bit of a change,but at present in canna mode,so hope the stuff does what it says??

easy guys a few questions and thoughts i have been using canna cocco and using canna A and B cannazyme and rizortonic along with canna boost through my flowering stage, all as guided on the canna web sight you where talking about pk 13/14 i have used it in a few grows 1 time used it for a week 3 weeks into flower and 1 time 3 weeks from harvest and i can say the 3 weeks into seems to work better i have also made the mistake of using it for one watering seasion in week three and that was a waist if your using dwc or hydroponics i recond that would be right because you dont change your water every water eh ( sorry rambling ) any way my question:

has anyone used it @ the 3 week afterthe start AND 3 weeks from harvest? and if so what was the results like did it make any significant diference?

i sent the above question to canna thenselves and got the following reply....

Hi Mr floaty,

We advice in general PK 13/14 in week 5 in a Blooming period of 9 weeks. Other Plants we adjust this of the total. (ex. week 10 for een period of 18 weeks crop).
We increase the EC in week 5 with 0,1-0,2 EC above the regular Canna Flores. We apply it for 1 week.

If plants stay green and soft you may apply it for a longer period. But when the leaves start to burn at the tips or the borders, stop applying the PK.. May be you should decrease the EC in general.

saying that i have done what it said on the pack i used at full strength for 1 week in the 3 week of flower i have also just used it
for half a week 3 weeks befor harvest or there abouts but stopped when the leaves started burning then used plain water for the following 2 waters and then back on usual full feeding with no ill effects, going to start flushing for in a weeks time pic below...
let us no what ya think........

Hi there, this same query had me stumped for a while but after reading a few forums i have finally sussed what the hell canna are on about on the back of there container.I believe they want you to add 15 ml of pk13/14 to every 10 ls that u have in your nutrient tank already,(3 weeks before the end of harvest) keep this nutrient feeding plants for 3 to 6 days before replacing the nutrient back to it original dillutions.
About to add mine now for 1st time so will find out if i am right or not in 3 - 4weeks lolps i am using pebbles and recirculatary hydroponic system.

Hi just looked at when i posted this thread.. oct 2006.. i'd just started growing then, iv'e learnt to put my pk 13/14 in on week 5 , 15 ml to 10 litres and if i have to top up in the week i just chuck 5 ml in..easy with the canna nutes there shit hot but very concentrated and if your in a hard water area dont touch the canna aqua..im talkin hydro of course...cheers ta ta

I hit my plants with PK13-14 halfway through week 4 (growing in coco) due to the fact that I use boost which means sometimes theyre ready to harvest in the middle of week 7 (depending on the strain) and I like to give them 3 solid weeks of no pharmaceuticals to clean out whats in the stems.

The timing issue is for all mediums. The time frame I think, is not so much about the medium but more about the plant structure.

In the information its kinda confusing, one part saying week 5, and the other reference saying 3 to 4 weeks before harvest. 3 to 4 weeks before harvest is a bit of a guessing game as is not until like week 7 that you will know whether the bud is going to be ready. Could be end of week 7, end of week 8 or even into week 9 depending on the plant. So 3 to 4 weeks could in those situations mean either week 4, 5 or 6.

I think the point is that the PK13-14 is straight pharmaceutical phosporous and potassium. It takes about 3 weeks for a plant to use up all the nutrient in its stem. The idea I think is to allow 3 weeks from the time you last fed them PK13-14 till when you havest your plants.

Also since it is pharmaceutical I think they are trying to say dont feed plants that aren't developed enough. Which is why I hit mine at 4.5 weeks to 5.5. The boost causes faster development and sometimes faster harvest maturity.
