Here's my take on it....
I always mist at least once a week in veg with a seaweed extract and a little neem oil to keep the bugs away. This is the main reason I do it. Spray the soil with it too.
I continue this regime with the Neem into flowering for the first 3-4 weeks, then I stop it. Neem oil takes about 10-14 days to break down, so there won't be any residue on the plants come harvest and hopefully the bugs will leave them alone from now. I don't spray for the rest of flower unless I have too. i.e. if I spot some spider mite damage (they've been fuckers this year!). I have treated at week 6 once with 'spray safe', this is a neem based spider mite/egg killer. I was told by my hydro shop is was fine too use all through flowering if needed, better than spider mite damage, but like everyone else is saying, make sure your ventilation is good if you have to do this.
