Default so, i'll be starting to grow something good this week

and i gotta pick up the soil
i'm thinking of going organic

i'm going to homedepot for the soil
and was thinking about using the kellogs brand
Welcome to Gardner & Bloome Soil Products Gallery

mixed with some perlite

and some sorta organic fert along the road... not sure which...

i'll be growing a couple different strands that my friends have gotten to me...

should be some potent stuff i'm told... i have a couple 4ft shoplight flouros i'll be veging under, and i'll be purchasing an hps in the near future for flowering...

i'm really excited, cuz i actually kinda know what i'm doing this time around, and SHOULD come into a lot less problems than i did the first time around (though i'm sure many will arise anyways)

i'll be sure to start up a grow journal when i really get started... but i was just wondering if there was any opinion on the soil choice, whether good or bad (and reasons)...

thanks in advance!

Default Biobizz Organic Nutes

Hi I'm just strating my 3rd grow & using Biobizz Grow & Bloom (Organic)
Very good results...

You can get them here:

BioBizz of Holland Bio-Bloom from 4 hydroponics.com by Growco Indoor Garden Supply

I've also seen it on ebay costs about $30
But well worth it...

i've also used mg dirt, and had only one problem with one plant (a very very individualistic and picky blueberry). i like bacto for multi-use; i take lots of cuttings, and bacto has very little nutrients in it. i had a little bit of trouble rooting slips in mg dirt (new).

gracias all for the input... yeah fdd i was actually thinking of the mg organic stuff... but i dunno... i'm drawn to this kellog's stuff for some reason..

and kp i don't remember seeing "bacto" soil... but i'll keep an eye out...

fox farms would be nice but i don't feel like spending the money on it when i know i can get decent organic soil for much cheaper...

plus i am just looking for a couple moms right now, one from each strain i'm growin out... so i'm thinking once i get around to cloning them en mass then i'll try a couple different soils... see how they compare while groiwng the same plant...

but that won't be until way later september at the earliest prolly...

i too was drawn to the "kellogs". i saw it at home depot. i went back to it 3 times to look at it. it was so inexpensive i thought there was no-way it could be any good. maybe i will try it.

see, thats EXACTLY what i was thinking

its all organic
got sea kelp, chickin shit, bat guano, worm castings, all sorts of good shit

and for like 10 bucks i'llhave enough soil for the 8 plants i'll be doing this time around... hence why i wanted an opinion... too good to be true?

and kp, yeah i gotta get down to the hydro store and see exactly what they have in the way of nutes... but i do need to pick up some soon... i have the lil 1L bubble bucket going right now with my seedling in it popping out its second set of true leaves... yay!!
