    Default Indica vs Sativa

Cannabis sativa , is a tall plant, generally between 8 and 12 feet. The leaves have long thin fingers and are light green. The more equatorial varieties have more yellow pigments to protect the plant from intense light. Sativa buds are long and thin and turn red as they mature in a warm environment. In cooler environments the buds may be slightly purple. Sativa plants smell sweet and fruity and the smoke is generally quite mild. It is a source of fiber for rope and other products and it contains THC which gives smokers the psychic effects they seek. The leaves of this plant are smoked but the most highly prized part of the plant is the top.

Cannabis indica, is plentiful in the Mideast, India, and Central Asia especially Afghanistan, Kashmire, and Pakistan. It is a short plant, generally between 3 and 6 feet, and its leaves have short broad fingers. The leaves are generally dark green sometimes tinged with purple. As they near maturity, the leaves may become significantly more purple. It is a strong smelling plant with a "stinky" or "skunky" smell. The smoke of indicas is generally thick and more prone to cause coughing when inhaled. Indicas are the traditional source of hashish.

Scientists at GW Pharmaceuticals, Britain's legal med-pot research facility, have announced that Sativa strains are more effective at treating pain than Indica strains.

If you are a hiker or outdoorsman, or a model builder, or reader, or craftsman, or....there is NOTHING like sativa for a thoroughly enjoyable day. For awhile, back in the day, sativa was about all we'd get. Then we'd get both on a regular basis, so I have had lots of pleasure in each. Each has an equally righteous place in the old stash box but, if I HAD to pick (but why would I?), I'd probably go with Sativa cause I never need help getting to sleep and I am lazy enough as it is! That said, an occasioanl lock to the recliner while kicked back listening to vinyl in the dark is something to which I am very much looking forward.

I have been chagrined to learn that it is difficult to grow indoors so maybe one of these daye I will have to work out a swap of I for S with someone. Oh, and thank goodness for hybrids.

Indica, just because I smoke primarily for medicinal value. But I do always appreciate a nice sativa.

I absolutely love a pure sativa high. I can still function and my senses are as keen as an animal LOL

I like to get trashed and nailed to a couch sometimes too but sative is like pops bring home an ice cream treat

Its personal preferance but i think you missed the part where indica gets you stoned and sativa gets you high.

I prefer sativa because I can avoid being classified as a stoner and avoid confirming the stereotypes of the pothead. Im all for the bettering of our community. I dream for us potheads to be a group of men from all organizations. Holding high ranking jobs, and being extremely productive.

So im a sativa man given it reward of a up-lifting high. The only problem is they take for ever to grow and are like 50 thousand feet tall (aka to big for a closet.) So basically i always go wit a mixture but i make sure its sativa dominate by atleast 4:1
