Default spider mites
One of my buddys gave me a few Great White Shark strains and I put them in my garden because they're about the same age as my babies (a little smaller) Now he tells me his garden has Spider Mites! There's small frekled yellow dotes on the leaves of the Sharks and a few on my White Widows, too. What do I do about this? Also another plant was showing wrinkled messed up leaves. people said they look fine. I want more advice though, because it far from looks fine to me. heres pictures of my worst plants and thier problems.

Those white spots look like where the spider mite has been attached feeding. If I were you I would get neem oil now follow the directions on the bottle but add a couple drops of dawn dish soap to it. It is a natural product and you can use right up to harvest. You need to spray under the leaf because that is where they feed. Here is the plan to follow. First day spray with neem, second day spray with neem, Third day pure water, fourth day nothing, repeat untill you no longer see spider mites. Works everytime for me. You have to continur this regemin for at least two weeks to get any eggs that hatch. Then just keep a good eye on them and any sign of return start again. Them buggers are hard to get rid of but you can keep them in check so they don't ruin your crop.

I would get some neem oil and start ASAP - catch that before it really gets out of hand.

I got Organticide. The lady at the hydro store said it works like Neem Oil. I just now got back from there. What do you think? should I say screw it and go to anouther place that has the Neem Oil? Or should I try the Organticide? I can't see any Spider Mites. All I see is eggs.

I plan on trying this next time life calls for it . . . borrowed from some other RIUpper/Thanks

Take a misting water bottle that has the trigger on it.
  • Cover just the bottom of the bottle with dish soap (I use the orange anti-bacterial kind)
  • Fill 3/4 with just tap water
  • fill remaining 1/4 with white vinegar
  • shake gently, not too much though or you will have lots of bubbles, lol
  • spray all over your plants, under the leaves and the top of the soil unitl a light coating is on there (don't get it sopping wet)
  • leave on at least a few hours or over night
  • spray off all the plant ( I do this with clean water in the spray bottle)
  • bugs gone, shiny leaves.
Don't forget to repeat whatever you do in 2-3 weeks, for eggs.

What sort of stuff is in the Organticide? if its chemical free & organic I would tend to say give it a try. Then again MrFishey's recipe sounds like a good solution. Just be carefull when misting that you don't get your lamp - MH and HPS have been known to explode when hit with cold liquids.
Good Luck !
