ok so im getting close here and i have a very few trichs that are completley dark brown, head and stem (only found one tiny spot like this, but didnt look all that hard)
most of the other trichs are cloudy or clear.
whats this about? is that bad good normal?

would it be a good idea to wait until theyre all amber? i have a 30x magnifying glass, i didnt find any amber trichs. just those dark brown ones and cloudy and clear ones. is it hard to see amber with 30x and maybe thats why i'm now seeing some turn dark brown?

thanks very much.

depends on the high your looking for. if you wait later 50% amber or more your gonna have a big body buzz. thats probably a week or 2 off. harvesting soon will be more of a head buzz. also have a look at the pistols on your buds. are they all still at full attention or have the started to recess back into the buds? when most are moving back to your buds your about ready. this inconjuntion with time, trichs, how the plant looks in general, and stone preference should guide you.

mostly all of the pistols are orange and have curled. except the newly grown ones. I'm not worried about a couchlock high, was actually looking for one. My only worry is the dark brown trichs, they look curled and dead almost. and im not sure if my 30x magnifier is sufficient enough to see amber, and maybe now im only seeing them go dark brown?

would dark brown trichs be alright? or is that too far and now im effed?

it sounds like you are good, though you may have a little ways to go
not all strains amber in the same way, i used 20x to scope out my amber
watch carefully day by day, but with mostly cloudy you should be fine for the moment

i like the couchlock high as well. you should probably give it another week at least, if you havent flushed nows the time. then in a week or so it will be about ready, maybe 2. you can actually see the trichs degrade when they start going downhill. if i remeber right, they will start drooping. you shouldnt be over mark yet, you should shoot for all cloudy 25-50% amber, 50% amber if you count the ones that are darker. those are the ones that worry me about going over. if you see 50% dark cloudy id say its time.

ok thanks man. i got about 10% amber now, and some trichs are drooping. about 90% of the hairs are dark orange and have curled. the plant is still all green though. today is day 59 12/12. i think though also im using a 5-15-14 formula, so would that 5% nitrogen ive been feeding it keep the leaves green longer? i woudl think so right?

thanks for the help, knowledge is power eh :joint:

i think you need to stop feeding, if you haven't already, leaves should be yellowing at this point
sounds like it's ripening fast
