i changed out my res and upped my nutes yesterday (ebb & flow, gh flora) and had to leave town today unexpectedly. won't be back for a couple of days, so i won't be able to check on my babies. question is: how long will it take for nute burn to be a serious problem that cant be fixed? it wasn't a very drastic increase (went from 1-1-1 to 3-2-1)

I guess you can have nute burn for a couple of weeks before the damage gets pretty bad. I had too many nutes for about 2 weeks before I really knew what was going on, but I was using soil. It started burning with 24 hours though. I think if your using hydro it will be much faster to show?
