This is my second grow.. (i didnt get any buds on my first) so i guess its my first real grow.. I am basically setup in the corner of a small room, i used CFLS for the first week of veg, however I recently switched over to the MH light and it is super bright.. i need some type of way to cheaply surround my plants and let them keep all the light, so it doesnt go through the whole house.. I dont want to completey cover them 4 ways around and only want to cover 3 ways.. does anyone have any good ideas for materials i shoud use or how i should do it.. I'd just like to get some stuff from home depot and make a 3 way box to surround them on the outside.. I am not at the location now, bt here is some drawings.. the lines outside of the wall is where i want to make the surroundings

How cheap? I swear by panda plastic. It's like 90.00 for 100 ft. It's light proof reflective and durable. You may not need 100 ft. but you can always use it, at least I can. You can divide rooms easily and quickly with it...yada yada blah blah

Where do you think?
High Tech Garden Supply You may be able to find it in smaller amounts but most places will jack the shipping cost through the roof. Also it is not like mylar it's durable and you can clean it as much as you want, you can reuse. Mylar tends to crease collect dirt etc. It goes by many names Panda Plastic, Panda Film, black and white poly |

I saw the panda plastic.. Wil that stay up by it self though? I am looking for more of something to build something to hold it up for now like i coud grab from home depot.. i was thinking of building something with wood but i think i'd rather go with plastic or rubber then lining it with maylar or panda plastic.. i want to keep in the light as much as I can, but not too much, cause its getting hot as fuck over there.. its 90 but i have co2 so that should be ok.. but i'd ike to keep lots of ventilation

But if you want to just use 2 x 4s and plywood with some flat white paint that will work fine too. Last edited by Gygax1974; 07-30-2007 at 12:03 PM.. |

Flat white paint. Just remember if you buy mylar it has to be changed out as you do more grows. The Home Depots in my area don't carry any reflective gardening material...I'm in Philly and I've gone to about 5 different HDs in the area.
