Default mh light and hps

i have been using a 600 watt mh for veg. my plants are about 1ft2in and are abundant in foilage. when should i introduce the hps light to them. Do i start before flowering or the day i start flowring

there is no set time when you should do the 12/12 cycle just remember the plants will double maybe even triple in size so its just how ever big u want them to get

Sounds like they're plenty big, most including me veg for 4 weeks, others use 12/12 right from seed. Check out people's journals including mine and you can follow other past grows and see what has worked best for others.
