I have a 300L/Sec Can-Fan that is too powerful for my 3M x 1.5M x 2M tent.
It pumps too hard and i was wondering if any1 knows if its possible to adjust it so its less powerful..

Im some-wat of a Lamen, so plz keep any explanations simple.

what if you just pointed the fan in a dif direction and not straight on the plants?

Sorry forgot to mention it is an extraction fan.. @ 300L/Sec it would suck my tent inside out.

Ive heard of rigging up the fan to a light dimmer dial, but dont know how to do it.

easy. buy a damper.

hardware store - section with ducting and attachments, usually around the converters and end caps.

or buy a fan controller, or as last guy said, a light dimmer switch. those need to be wired, whereas a damper just restricts the air flow.

Ive never heard of a damper, but im guessing since u said it restricts air flow, i can just use a carbon filter as that does the same job..
How do i wire up the fan controller? Will it damage my fan?

get a fan speed controller... you can adjust the speed of the extraction fan to where you want it.. plus you dont have to worry about wiring shit.. plus they are cheap http://www.wormsway.com/detail.aspx?sku=SBC600&AC=1
