While at the hydro store is you have enough money you should also get a ph/ ppm meter for hydro... you use that to measure the ph/ ppm of the water mix before you dump it in the soil... you also can measure the run off water with this to make sure your soil isn't hot.

Flushing is done at the end (like the last week or 2 weeks) for the most part. You give the plants only wather... or only wather and molasses. The point is so the plants aren't stuffed with nutrients when you chop them. In only giving them water you force them to use the nutrients stored in the plant to keep living (or trying to live). This also tells them the end is near and to give any enerty they have left to pushing out seeds (or where the seeds would be... ie buds).

You also flush when you've over nuted the plants. If they are showing signs of nute burn you would want to pour a whole bunch of water through the soil to flush out the nutrients to try again with a smaller amount.

I don't do soil but have read that when you do start nutrients you should give them every other feeding. So when they need watered give them nutrients... next time water... next nutes....water.... on and off like that.

The ph pen for the soil is good, but definitely the hydro pen would help too.

Talk to the guy at the hydro store about it, he may have good info. If you are short on funds you can get the ph strips for the water too.

that info is gonna help me one day lol. i think ill prolly end up gettin the ph test strips with the up and down cuz i know the pens can get kinda pricey, but we'll see! i wanna get the ph test pen for the soil 2 so if the soil's ph is to high i can bring it down wit low ph'ed water?

i been doin more research on here n as we know the more lights the better n as i seen on other grows, i added splitters to my light sockets so now my babys are under 8 cfl's total. 6x100w 5500k and 2x150w 2700k i couldent find 6500k's at home depot but i hope is not that big of a deal. i also got a timer witch i think is my new best friend, and was able to take my plants off 24h and put them into 18/6 to vegetate. i wanted to keep the aerogarden on 24h cuz im germinating in it still but i only got one closet lol. but the 18/6 should be ok to start off 2 right?

More light is better.

I don't really know what you are asking at the end. I thnk you should have the aerogarden on all the time, but again I have never done seeds, so I'm not sure.

Does that aerogarden come with a 1/5 min timer or something to spray... it's aeroponics right? or am I confused on what the aerogarden is?

well that dont matter anymore cuz i took the AG out the grow room at juss sat it on 24h in my kitchen until i can put the seedlings to vegetate under 18/6. i have pics on my profile if u wanna check the out. i juss updated my grow room again today and i added mylar around it and now is set to juss be left alone and pamper my babys. i also got my white widow seeds and stuck 2 od them in the AG. im gonna get some fox farm soil n grow one in soil 2. i guess the theisis of my project is: what is the best method to grow marijane in your closet, soil or hydro? lol. my babys goin in soil are about 3 weeks old in Mg soil and today im givin them their first feed of fox farm nutes in a very low dose. wish me luck!! ill put up new pics later tonite after i feed them...

AAAHHHAAAHHGRH!!!!!!!!!!!! listen to this shit!!!
so i juss walked inn to chek on my girl and the site seamed disturbed at plain sight because one of the side reflector/wall i made had falled down. so i picked it up thinkin the fan had noked it over and at the same time tellin my 4 month old bull terrier "genious" pup to get the helll out the room. Then as i got to water my plants i relized the one labeled in my pics "the good child" had most of its leaves chewed off by that so called genious dog!!! the stalk is still standin strong and it still has some vegetation, does anyone know the chances of it surviveing? i hope she dont die =(

wow man. rough. There is hope. First lesson... keep the dog away from the plants, haha. The thing could pull trough, don't give up hope bro. It may be lost cause, but think if your doggy ate a 10 week old plant. that would really suck.
